How to Renew a PR card in Vancouver

Canadian permanent residents are obligated to renew their permanent resident card every five years. In doing so, they must make an application for a permanent resident card and check the box on the application which indicates the application is to renew a permanent resident card.

Renewing your permanent resident card is one of the necessary components of maintaining your permanent resident status in Canada. Another one of these important requirements is meeting the requirement for the minimum physical presence in Canada, which is being in Canada for at least 730 days out of the last five years. Many permanent resident card renewal applications are denied every year because the applicant did not meet the residency obligation for permanent resident status in Canada. If you have not met the residency requirement, please contact us. We can help you.
